What type of insurance would you get for a softball club?

I'm the president of a softball club at a university in South Florida. Our school does not have a softball field for us to use on campus and we need to find one off campus to practice on. The problem is, every field that I've called wants to see proof of insurance. Does anyone have any idea of what type of insurance I should be looking for (ex. what needs to be covered on it.) and what company I might be able to get it from? Thanks for any help.|||Two policies: One - Group health insurance for all members of the team. Two - General Liability policy protecting your organization for damages that may be incurred on others or their property.

It depends on the state you live. Insurance laws differ slightly from state to state. Good luck!|||Mine was better.....

|||Some type of liability insurance, I would assume. They would not want to be responsible if one of your player's got injured on their field. Call State Farm or your personal agent and ask them about Sports Liability Insurance. They will be able to direct you from there.

EDIT: WOWZA!! Three thumbs down for telling her what she needs is a liability policy that covers sports? How stupid are you people? That last guy "group health policy?" Really?? For a sports team? Kindly tell me 1) Exactly how realistic and cost-effective that would be and 2) How many "Group Health Policies" you could find out there that would cover a bunch of non-paid student athletes. Get real.|||call an insurance agency. i know my team has insurance because the leagues require it. I think its like $600 for the year. or call the town/city to see who provides insurance for their leagues...|||most schools, or city leagues have you sign waivers and players use there own personal insurance when playing|||Softball insurance...hardy hardy har har harrrrrrr|||injury insurance
