I've never played softball since middle school. I think I can bat pretty good but you know that was in middle school when we had throw underhand. What skills do you need to play softball?|||same you need to play baseball|||They still pitch underhanded in Softball.
Hand eye coordination is the primary skill required. If you were a pretty good hitter in middle school, you probably will catch on to hitting very fast.
Can you catch a fly ball, field a ground ball and/or throw a ball at least 60 feet.
Most of us have the necessary skills to play softball, especially slow pitch softball. Running is a good skill to have, you do not need blazing speed.
The rules may have changed somewhat since middle school but you can pick them up quickly.
Basic skills, hit, run, throw and throw. If you are considering joining a Co-Ed League or a Woman's League, you should go for it. Most players in C0-ED are average type of players and are there to have some fun and get some exercise. Go and have some fun.
You will do fine.|||Speed and Agility are very important. You need to be able to move quick and react to the ball. You will need good eye-hand coordination too. You can't hit and catch without it. but to be more specific: running outfield/ infeld work, batting. catching, throwing, sliding, the calls
