Softball!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

why is softball only in collage? why not pro.? or olympics? softball has been taken out of the olympics. what are we suppost to do atfer collage? just do nothing? i think it's because we are girls. girls don't get half of what guys do! so why is softball not talked about?|||There isn't that large of a fan base for the pros. We used to go to the games and virtually no one was there in the stands. I think that they should have left softball in the olympics. Softball has always been a hot topic of the olympics. Since I have graduated from college, I had to hang up my glove. Damn, it hurt so bad. Now all I have to look forward to is the NCAA championships to watch each May. I tried coaching varsity high school softball, but the girls didn't have the heart that I had for the sport and it was just too frustrating. The problem is that people like watching men play sports more so than women. What's sad is that I have to listen to my boyfriend say that MLB is much harder than Fastpitch softball. It really pisses me off. I think that ESPN has noticed that they get great ratings during NCAA championships, so now they might play the National games. I have a couple of friends that played pro in Akron, but they didn't get paid good and the fan base was not great.|||I have played softball for 9 years, playing on the varsity at high school. what am i going to do when i get out of college? practice??????

|||i am with kristen i really dnt want to have a boring job and i would kill to do softball for a living but even if u do get to get payed it is not enough! I mean Come on now tennis and golf players are getting payed and is it just me or are they Boring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!鈥?

|||there IS softball in college and there is pro. professional softball is called npf (national pro fastpitch). in ohio there is akron racers, in chicago there is chicago bandits, rockferd thunder and so on. try googleing npf. hope this helps!!!!!!!

|||Re. MLB vs. FP Softball... A few years ago in a fun event leading up to I think it was the MLB All-Star game, they had Jennie Finch pitch to a few MLB'ers. They couldn't hit a thing. It was awesome.

|||About the Olympics... the fact that the US dominates the sport so heavily was the biggest factor for removing it from the Olympics. I think the ISF continues to work on development of softball in other countries so that someday soon it will be an internationally competitive sport.

|||It's ridiculous that young women who play softball their entire lives, as I have for 11 years, have nothing to look forward to. No more olympics, and definitely no professional career. I mean...how ridiculous can we be as a society? Why are men's sports more important!??! Our society has always been a male dominated one, but as for the reason...I'm not sure. Maybe because women have had a difficult time standing up for themselves. Whatever the reason, we've got to conquer it!|||Well, it is really sad that they took softball out of the 2012 Olympics, but I think that the US Olympic Committee and the International Softball Federation will a make a giant push to get softball reinstated for the 2016 Olympics.





There is a professional league, the National Pro Fastpitch, and they currently have seven teams. Many softball players also go to Europe and Japan to play softball. For instance Michele Smith who plays professional softball in Japan.|||i happen to like softball and i talk about it all the time. i used to play it...but that was in high-school.|||Idk.
